A Thousand Splendid Suns I cry easily when l watch films. But I don't usually cry when I read books. There were times when my heart wept, but not eyes. This book was the first exception. I sincerely went to write a review but it is hard since the book is a great one and my words won't do justice to it. To brief a bit, this is the story of two Afghan women and their miseries. Through their lives we could see war, poverty, starvation, loss, love, atonement, pride, patriarchy, misogyny, extremism, hope, contempt, hurted, brutality...
